    Synthesis #1 Due by 11:55 July 26th (20%)

    ENGL.1302 Synthesis #1 Assignment

Synthesis due by 11:55 pm July 26th. (20%)

You will write a 750-1000 word essay using the two sources from Rhetorical Analysis #1 and Rhetorical Analysis #2. The word count should NOT include your Works Cited or header. Your paper must be in docx or rtf format. No more than 20% of your paper should be source material.

Synthesis PaperRhetorical Analysis #1 and #2 and the sources
Synthesis #1 Due by 11:55 pm July 26th (20%)Assigned articles:  Rhetorical Analysis #1:Article:  The Loneliness Epidemic Persists: A Post-Pandemic Look at the State of Loneliness among U.S. AdultsLinks to an external site.Rhetorical Analysis #2:Short Film: A New ManLinks to an external site.

A synthesis is a written discussion incorporating support from two or more sources of differing views. You should employ the rhetorical analysis strategies you learned about earlier in the semester. This type of assignment requires that you examine at least two sources and identify their relationship to your thesis. In your synthesis will explore one main synthesis idea from the two of the sources listed above.  You will identify one synthesis idea focus of your analysis by exploring that synthesis idea based on the rhetorical analysis of the two+ sources.

Your general goal is to find common themes from the two articles and explore their similarities and differences as they relate to those themes in the articles. A synthesis is sort of like a compare/contrast paper. Find where the two articles rhetorically overlap and then discuss the significance of the connections between the two sources. The two sources may not be on the exact same point, rather they are rhetorically similar on the same general topic. In your synthesis, you should look for a common connection or overlap of the rhetorical strategies in the sources. Do your best to tease out how the two sources are dealing with that connection. You need to add some insight into where the two texts’ ideas overlap.

Please remember that you must cite BOTH sources using MLA in-text citations (include the page or paragraph number) and you must include an MLA Works Cited page at the end of the paper.

MLA Citation (use hanging indent in your citation and update the date of access to when YOU accessed the article):

You should NOT use additional sources–only use the two or three sources identified above for this assignment.

No more than 20% of your paper should come from source material (quoted or paraphrased).

IntroductionGrab your reader’s attention–find a hook to draw the readers in.Introduce the two sources and BRIEFLY summarize them.Present the primary synthesis idea (What is significant about the rhetorical connection you uncovered between the two+ texts? What are the implications?)Present your thesis, which maps out your main analytical and synthesis points
Synthesis SectionThis should comprise at least two-thirds of your paper (500 words or more)Develop several main synthesis points. You should be able to speak about how the two texts rhetorically overlap in idea(s) and the implications of the overlapping idea(s).See the Synthesis Outline Resource
Concluding ParagraphReiterate the values and limitations of the texts you have analyzed.Pull together new insights. Leave readers to think about the views on the overlapping ideas and the implications of what you have explored and explained.

    The Synthesis must:

    • Adhere to the expected format for synthesis writing (think comparison and contrast)
    • Follow academic writing guidelines

(Review the Features of the Academic Essay)
    • Demonstrate an understanding of rhetorical context (read the Rhetorical Context Lecture for more information)

    •  Include a list of Works Cited that follow MLA guidelines and use in-paragraph citations that adhere to MLA guidelines.

Dispelling myths about academic writing companies and experts

Unfortunately, there are many misconceptions about our industry. However, that shouldn’t prevent you from getting professional essay writing services, so let’s look at popular myths and bust them.

All academic assistance companies are scams.

We admit that there are some dishonest companies that cheat customers out of their money or provide works of poor quality. There’s also plenty of legit professional essay services as well.

Our goal is to deliver quality academic help that’s tailored to your needs, so we match you with high-level professionals who get corresponding payments.

Academic assistance services only sell plagiarized papers.

Again, some companies do that. But that will never happen if you purchase from a legitimate essay writer service like ours. We complete each order from scratch, so your papers can only contain original content and properly cited information.

We check each essay or research before we send it to you to guarantee that your paper is exclusive.

Using online writing services is illegal.

Actually, it’s entirely lawful if you’re doing it correctly. For instance, you can’t use professional essay writing assistance to cheat on a test. If you follow the rules, you won’t have anything to worry about.

Unique hand-crafted papers that match your needs can serve as excellent examples and boost your understanding of any subject.

Essay writers for hire aren’t qualified.

On the contrary, anyone who wants to be an essay writer online has to go through a strict selection process. They need to be highly competent to complete this type of work, and many freelance authors on our team hold academic degrees, from Bachelor’s to PhDs.

In the end, only the best essay writers get to work for our homework writing service.
