Grammar can be described as a pattern of words and how words are put together to develop sentences or clauses when speaking or writing. So if the question is whether grammar matters or not, it means whether using the same patterns and rules is important to everyone. There are two parts or ideologies of grammar – normative and descriptive (ed.ted.com, 2022). The normative argues that there should be a set of rules in the grammar, while the descriptor argues that there should be variations and adaptations in the grammar.

This language was mainly used for most of history. Many folk tales, stories about the past have been passed down orally from generation to generation. But as the world becomes more global and interconnected, it becomes important to share information in written form so that everything is understood and communicated easily, here where grammar is more emphasized. Speaking and writing involve different use of grammar (ed.ted.com, 2022), which means that when writing, more emphasis is placed on grammar, to clarify the meaning of sentences. This is how the correct concept of language came about and its importance has also increased over time. The linguistic purist has his own rules and standards that he follows when using grammar. Much debate has been going on between descriptors and prescriptivism as to whether grammars have a particular pattern. Today, writers follow grammar rules for efficiency and better understanding.

The authors believe that using correct grammar will make the meaning of the sentence clear. Many people believe that grammar rules are important in business meetings because they help communicate and understand information and avoid misunderstandings (RAO). It also helps people from another culture understand what is being said. The concept of grammar varies from person to person. But it is supposed to use appropriate grammar for people of other cultures. Some people belong to different regions of the world and have different backgrounds, it is very important to understand each other and it is believed that grammar can fill the gap.

Another use of grammar is that it also contributes to the accuracy of expressions. There are times when a particular verb tense is more appropriate to use than another. Grammar mainly helps one person to explain to others exactly what they mean (Minasyan & Midova, 2016). This is one of the other reasons why grammar is important. Grammar is the basis of communication. Correct sentence construction is very important and this can only be done if the grammar is correct. For sentence formation, grammar plays an important role. It also helps us understand pronouns, nouns, adverbs, verbs, tenses and more.

For example, why grammar is important to businesses – many organizations rely on specific written instructions, especially when communicating with team members. Correct grammar will help employees fully understand the instructions, avoiding misunderstandings and confusion. It also helps to maintain a positive working environment as all employees understand everything, and the relationship between upper management and employees is also good thanks to clear communication. Customers and suppliers are also interested in organizations communicating properly, which is only possible with the help of good grammar. Using correct grammar also helps maintain and improve the company’s reputation (Guffey & Loewy, 2015) and also helps maintain reputation, trust and more effective interactions. Grammatical documents convey the wrong information. It misleads people, increases conflict, and also inspires people to commit wrongdoing. This forces others to take legal action against the organizations for fraud. This is another reason why grammar is important for clear communication; this helps the company avoid unnecessary legal action. Many studies have shown that many customers will hesitate to purchase from a company’s website if there are typos or any other grammatical errors. There are a number of things that companies use to impress customers because of the high competition. Any business does not want to present its product unfavorably in front of customers because otherwise, customers may lose interest due to poor grammar use (Guffey & Seefer, 2019). Any business wants to retain and acquire more customers and hence, correct use of grammar in written instructions is crucial to convey informed actions. Here are some reasons why companies use correct grammar.
