Ethical issues in applied behavior analysis

Using the assigned readings the student clearly addresses the following:

1. Provide a summary of the principles involved in Guideline 1 (Responsible Conduct of a Behavior Analyst) of the BACB guidelines for responsible conduct.
2. Provide a summary of the principles involved in Guideline 2 (The Behavior Analyst’s Responsibility to Clients) of the BACB guidelines for responsible conduct.
3. Discuss standards under Guideline 1.06 (Dual Relationships and Conflicts of Interest).

Summary contains an overview of the ethical standards addressed within each of the guidelines.

Student addresses at least two ethical standards for each of the scenarios and apply them in the following manner:

1.    Discuss recommendations for appropriate behavior in each scenario based of the standards for responsible conduct that are chosen.

2.    Discuss how the chosen ethical standards are violated in each scenario.

3.    Discussed the appropriate course of action that would allow the practitioner to remain in compliance with ethical standards for each scenario.

4.    Discuss recommendations for how the practitioner should balance ethical responsibility with respect for the cultural values of the client.
