This theory gave me ideas about states of self-actualization, self-confidence, and worth. Conditions of worth can be identified as a set of conditions that we must uphold so that others accept us as worthy of affection and love (Lago 2013, p. 209). Here the therapist plays an important role, understanding the client from his point of view and experience, actively respecting his personal feelings. This helps clients feel motivated, accepted, and self-aware of their potential. I believe that my clients also benefit from reaffirming their own values, developing self-esteem, and thereby finding their own ways to move forward.

Self-actualization and confidence

I think interacting with other people helps a person learn many new values ​​and concepts that can be used to improve one’s personality. Relationships are formed through emotional connections, trust, and deeper feelings between people. Somehow, diversity and differences also play a greater role in influencing an individual’s relationships and personal feelings. Diversity can be the perceived or actual differences between different people, and this difference can be determined by gender, religion, sexual orientation, socio-economic status, and many other factors such as (Rhode and Packel 2014, p. 377). However, in a broader concept, diversity can be divided into her four categories: differences in skills and abilities, occupations, attitudes and values, and personal characteristics. The main element in maintaining a relationship is communication. However, I believe that human relationships are seriously affected by language issues. These factors are motivation, learning environment, home education, personality, and support received from family and relatives at home (Tsui and Tollefson 2017, p. 40). Stereotypes are another factor that influences personal beliefs and relationships. This is explained by the overgeneralized belief that people are an important category of individuals. It is also sometimes described as the expectations that individuals have about other people belonging to a particular group (Mackie and Hamilton 2014). Apart from this, there are many other factors such as religious and cultural beliefs, family structure, and the society in which the individual lives. It also has a significant impact on an individual’s reactions, beliefs, behaviors, and relationships.
