Format: Blog posts should be around 1500-1800 words. We don’t expect an essay format, but please separate your claims into themes. Don’t get too hung up on fonts, sizes, and spacing unless the text is hard to read. Choose something clean and clear. Avoid colored fonts and frequent font size and color changes. 2. If you have a Microsoft account, Microsoft Sway is available online for free and includes blog templates. It’s super easy, intuitive, and lets you create (and keep editing) really beautiful blogs.
3. You can create a free WordPress blog. These look great too, but the templates available are a bit limited unless you pay for them. That’s fine with us. We don’t really expect miracles.

If you choose option 2 or 3, make sure: – Lock your work with a password so classmates and future students cannot “borrow” your work. – Provides a link to a text editing area for your blog. Research Sources: It’s a tricky area when it comes to sources, as major developments in the world of popular music often happen faster than science can keep up. Comparing it to other disciplines such as classical music or geography will help you understand the problem. That’s why it’s a good idea to look to trusted journalists (online or in print) when researching the latest music. Newspapers (The Globe and Mail, The New York Times, The Washington Post, etc.), music magazines (Rolling Stone, Q, Mojo, Spin, etc.), and online music journalism websites, such as Pitchfork, NME, are a reliable source for discussing the issue. is a good source of information. music. Biography.com is good for an artist’s biography, but not for discussing his actual music. Avoid using unauthorized sites such as Wikipedia, AllMusic, Song Facts, and similar sources. Citation Details: We strive for clarity and consistency and should check both in-text citations and the list of sources. Include text (notes or citations in brackets) and references (alphabetically, at the end). You can choose between bracketed citations + bibliography format or Chicago-style endnotes + bibliography format.

Sometimes it’s easiest to just create everything in Word and cut and paste, but sometimes it messes up the formatting. Give yourself enough time to fix the formatting. B.
