Age Page Reports
A power point with an audio component and a scholarly written report based on one of the Health Information articles from www.nia.nih.gov. comprise this assignment. Submit the written report and power point to your instructor as attachments in the Assignment section of the course using a standard format like .doc or .rtf. Also submit the power point with an audio component to the Discussion section to share with your classmates.
Note in your syllabus that Age Page reports are due by the end of Week 3, Sunday at 11:59 CST. A major objective of this assignment is to familiarize you with excellent free information that is available through the National Institute on Aging (NIA). This can be an excellent resource for you in the foreseeable future.
The assignment is simply to go to the NIA website (www.nia.nih.gov (Links to an external site.)) and navigate to the Health Information. Choose one of the Health Information articles and write a one- to two-page report on it as though you are presenting the information to an older adult audience (i.e., you are teaching the older person about the information that you are sharing). Create a PowerPoint presentation on the same topic, again with older adults as your intended audience. Use PowerPoint’s Record Narration feature to capture yourself speaking and the slide timing as you click through.
